GOTOKU-JI TEMPLE - SETAGAYA WARD, TOKYO

We got to visit the infamous “cat” Gotokuji Temple and the maneki-neko (beckoning cat)

At this temple, you can purchase a maneki-neko (I got one of the small ones in photo 9). You make a wish with the maneki-neko while at the temple and when your wish comes true, whether it be in a week, 5 months or 10 years. You return to the temple, and place your maneki-neko among the thousands of other wishes that have come true.

So we’ll see when I have to return to the temple but I am excited
